After 4 straight meals of Mexican fare I was too tired to give a crap about anything other than what was already available. The day that I purchased the Smart Ones Quesadilla, I thought I’d try the english muffin variety too since I like the ones from Dunkin Donuts.
The package looks standard as with any microwavable breakfast sandwich. its neatly assembled and came with directions on tha package!
But once this baby came out of the wrapper and went into the microwave, we had a huge problem. the cheese in this sandwich made any side it was under slide off and make a cheesy mess all over the place! Not my sandwich! I know you are supposed to wrap it in a paper towel while you microwave… and I did the first time and I ended up witha cheesy napkin and a dry sandwich. At least this way I can still scrape the cheese off the plate with my fingers… what? Dont act likes its just me! I’ll bet you would licked the damn plate if no one was watching you! Overall, i liked the quesadilla better but really should go back to oatmeal!
Around snack time I had some delicious organic red seedless grapes. They were sweet crisp and gone in seconds! dammit. must pack more yummy fruit next time.
Around lunch time I packed some chili and a side salad.
I was in a funk and felt like mixing the two together. so i did and I saved myself 100 calories by skipping the dressing. It was like a taco salad but better because it was impromptu and everyone that stopped by my desk (nosy f*ckers… I mean officemates) were sniffing the air and making yummy noises…
back off people – this is MY lunch!
For some odd reason, I needed a munch right after that monstrosity of a salad. I came prepared with a huge, fresh gala apple i scored at a farmers market in Union Square. look at the color and shine on this baby! absolutely delectable…
But sometimes cravings hit and you want to behave.
I really want to just sit at my desk and graze which is so bad- I decided to go back to an old trick when I was a devout weight watcher… who wants to crash attempts to lose weight now… right?
Meet my craving buster! Its fat free, sugar free hot chocolate. its only 25 calories if you make it with water and I use 6 oz of water per packet to get a guilt free but decadent chocolatey treat that stops my cravings dead in their tracks. even leaves me feeling satisfied and full! Must have if you are an office dweller like me!
The hot chocolate at work held me over so well that I decided to end the night with a turkey and cheddar sammie. Nothing like a fresh sandwich made with wholesome ingredients to feel good about yourself and make your tummy stop complaining!
