Normally, when i blog an event I usually wait a day or two before posting pics and writing up a post. But since its all still fresh in my mind, i thought I would share it now.
Please note that I have been drinking.
Im not drunk though…
I recently won a spot on the Yelp Drinks Tri-Boro Bus that would transport me to 4 bars in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. I was really looking forward to this event because at the last one, i didnt really have a chance to talk to anyone- i was too busy stuffing my face. The tour was to last 4 hours.
First stop, we all met at Cibar. At each bar, we were granted a free drink and offered drink specials in case we wanted to drink more. Since the party was just starting, i decided to start slowly.
No one wants to be *THAT* girl.
I ran into a “friend” from Yelp and we started to have a brief convo. The waitress came over and took out drink order. I ordered a refreshing sangria. He ordered the suffering bastard. It sounded really awesome and was on fire when people served it… but it was made with a lot of Rum. And I broke up with Rum A LOOONG time ago. There was a lovely array of snacks at Cibar but there was a crowd and i didnt want to hoard. There was food at every stop – so i knew I would survive!
Shortly after, it was time to hop on the bus.
We were split into to two groups… The awesome bus and the quiet bus. Damn right i ended up on the awesome bus! We cheered! Cracked jokes! Sang Songs! Had a blast.
and shhh…. had some boxed wine. And we definitely got into trouble.
Our Next stop was at MoonShine in Brooklyn. I scored a Kelso! woot! yummy.

as well as a cupcake. It looked like a red velvet but i think it was tiramisu. The frosting was out of this world.
Then i took some photos. Yelp people are like family.
There was live music from the awesome lady with the guitar and the rest of us went outside and played twister.
Correction: I watched everyone play twister.
Quite hilarious! I was also playing with my swag…. a bottle thingy!!
This pic is for my sheeners!
We hit the road again, singing songs and coming up with a cool group name. By a vote we all chose 3 names that caused a 3-way tied. the 12 year olds in us giggled at the 3 way and our group name was born: 3-way.
We arrived at a bowling alley in Astoria and unloaded into the bar at Astoria Bowl.

I had a margarita! and a snack. The food was okay… nice to have an abundance of snack food to wear off the drunken effects.
We were granted a free QUICK game of bowling! i decided to watch and cheer people on but after a while, i went back to the bar for sustenance and electricity to charge my phone. . .
But the people who chose to bowl were having an amazing time!
Before we left, we got some sweet shirts! We hit the bus again to head to Manhattan for our last and final stop: Idle Hands

On our way there, we cranked the music and had a little runway dancing party… Yelpers party! and they party right!
When we got to Idle Hands, there were shots and beers waiting for us! It was the perfect way to end the night!!!

I walked around and chatted with my fellow Yelpers. But It started to get late, and I a little hungry. So i hit the train to go to Kew Gardens and I closed the night with a slice of much needed pizza!
Overall, it was a fantastic event! I am so glad I got to be apart of it!
Being Elite is awesome.
